Ang Lee (Director of 'Brokeback Mountain') interviewed SOT
- I got attracted to this about the same time as 'The Hulk', got tears in my eyes at the end of reading it, then decided to go with 'The Hulk', something bigger, after Crouching Tiger/ After the 'Hulk', exhausted, this thing came back to haunt me, could not put it out of my mind, luckily it was still available, just didn't want to miss it twice
- Seems to be existential, the idea of Brokeback Mountain, build a relationship, illusion of love, experience they had in mountain, wanting to go back, hiding there, Western atmosphere, true life of American West, not the gunslingers, fresh, great tool to tell a new love story
