New High-tech System Helps You Swing Like As Ichiro
TOKYO, JAPAN – MAR. 16: Japanese sports goods maker Mizuno Co. has unveiled a high-tech product which analyzes batting forms and advises the users how to swing better with a small three-dimension sensor put on the tip of a bat. The Swing Tracer, to be on sale May 9, calculates various data concerning angle or speed of bat swings through the sensor developed by Seiko Epson, a Japanese device manufacturer. The data can be seen on android-operated smart phones or tablets, and the recorded bat swings can also be visualized in animation.
So Taguchi, he is a former Japanese and U.S. Major League baseball player, said the device is helpful to amateur players and coaches as they can compare the swings by objective data, not by their intuitions."
