Senator Cardin on possible withdrawal from Paris climate agreement

Maryland Senator Ben Cardin joins Senate Democrats at a press briefing to urge President Donald Trump not to withdraw from the 2016 Paris climate agreement. Cardin says action is right for the environment, the economy and national security. Cardin discusses his role at the COP-21, which he says showed that with the United states leads, the world took notice when President Obama brought the world together to deal with the greatest risk to national security and global security posed by climate change. Cardin was that by pulling out, the United States with joint Syria and Nicaragua, not pleasant company to be in on the issue. Cardin warns that if the US pulls out, it shows that a major country would not be a part of a global effort to deal with a mobile problem. Cardin discusses a locale in Chesapeake Bay jeopardized by rising sea level, routine tidal funding in Annapolis and nearby and Naval Academy, which you can see personally in his own state, referring globally to climate migrants, concluding that economic opportunities will be grabbed by China and political leadership by countries not in US national security interest.
