Michael McCaul floor remarks on Yemen crisis

Texas Congressman Michael McCaul supports a resolution expressing the urgent need for a political solution in Yemen, where a Civil War continues into its third year in the situation becomes more dire by the day despite multiple attempts to broker a political agreement, but much like in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, Iran continues a campaign to prolong conflict and exacerbate the nightmare, having been caught attempting to smuggle weapons and munitions into the region. McCaul says that while Saudi Arabia has the right to prioritize its security, great humanitarian suffering where more than 27 million face unprecedented crisis cannot be dismissed, and all parties in the conflict need to take additional measures to prevent civilian casualties increase much needed humanitarian access.
