PW/TRAIN 3/20/04 WOODBBRIDGE, VA BY: MARGARET THOMAS TWP As a fundraising effort, PW Boy Scout troop 964 sponsored its 6th annual model train show and railroading merit badge workshop at Saunders Middle School. The show featured a 344 foot HO-scale modular layout presented jointly by the Scouts. the Prince William Model Railroad Club, the Potomac Modular Crew, and the Piedmont Railroaders. The miniature trains chugged through a variety of landscapes and were operated 'engineers' who walked the 20 minute route holding digital controls. Also on display were O, S, and G gauge trains. The Boy Scouts had an opportunity to earn their badges by attending a workshop where they learned about model trains, and constructed miniature rail cars and buildings.
