500,000 people in Chad reach fresh water with the wells opened by Turkish benefactors

With the donations of Turkish benefactors and under the leadership of the Turkish Diyanet Foundation (TDV), a charity run by the countryâs top religious authority, the wells drilled in the African country of Chad provide clean water to hundred of thousands of people. About 15 million people live in Chad, one of the poorest countries in the world. People in the country have difficulty in reaching into electricity and water outside the city centers. With the initiatives of Turkish benefactors, efforts have been made to provide clean and frech water in many parts of the country in recent years.
