Oure Cassoni Shelters Darfur's Refugees

OURE CASSONI, CHAD - FEBRUARY 26: A general view a dried out lake that provides a main water source for the Oure Cassoni refugee camp on July 26, 2007 about 23 kilometers outside Bahai, Chad. Since 2003, Darfur's Janjawid militia and the Sudanese military have driven hundreds of thousands of residents, attempting to escape the violence, into Chad. Established in 2004, the camp is the closest to the Sudanese border, so the conflict often spills into the territory. 26,000 people live in grim conditions after fleeing the mass killings which Western governments call genocide.
