Gloria Mosolino Standing in for Marilyn Monroe

(Original Caption) Gloria Mosolino, who was the stand-in for Marilyn Monroe in New York, poses beside a photograph of the actress, the pose is from the now famous sequence of The Seven Year Itch in which La Monore stands over a subway grate with her skirts flying over her head. Gloria had to do that scene eight times to test the lighting and blower system before Marilyn showed up. Gloria works hard at standing in, but folks back at home in Pottsville, PA., are a little shocked and can't understand why a nice girl like Gloria cosents to stand out on Lexington Avenue letting her skirts fly up just for $20 a day and lunch money.
