UNITED KINGDOM - MARCH 05: Harrison (centre) and his wife Patti Boyd were arrested on 13 May 1969 for possessing illegal substances following a police search of their property. The police raid took place on the same day that fellow Beatle Paul McCartney (1942-) married American photographer Linda Eastman (1941-1991). George Harrison (1943-2001) formed the Beatles in 1960 with Paul McCartney, John Lennon (1940-1980) and Ringo Starr (1940-) in Liverpool, England. They went on to become the most successful pop group of all time and finally split in 1970. In 1965 Harrison, along with the other Beatles, was awarded the MBE.
