Preparations for The International Four Days Marches has begun in Nijmegen
July 15th, Nijmegen. Since then The International Four Days Marches, called "Vierdaagse" in Nijmegen have grown into the largest multi-day walking event in the world, the day before all the walkers have gone to pick their wristband with the number of registration, at the start of the walk. More than 42,000 participants, (that include the Armed Forces from other countries, like Canadian, England, German, France, Spain, etc.) walk for four days in Nijmegen and its surroundings, where they, depending on their age and sex, walk a total of 120, 160 or 200 kilometers towards the Via Gladiola. This year, it's the 102nd edition and the official amount of walkers registered is 47.431. The number of different nationalities among civilian participants in this edition is 82.
