10th January 1968: Manchester United manager Sir Matt Busby (1909 - 1994) at Old Trafford. Busby, born in Orbiston, Lanarkshire, started his career with Manchester City in 1928 before moving to Liverpool in 1936 for a fee of £8,000. He became manager of Manchester United in 1945 and spent 24 years there winning 5 league titles and the FA Cup twice before becoming a director and then Club President.
