DENVER, COLO. - MARCH 9, 2006 - Nancy Mucker<cq> arranges a portrait of Miriam Goldberg<cq>, publisher of the Intermountain Jewish News<cq> and a member of the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame<cq>, for a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the hall of Fame in the Donald Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for Performing Arts Thursday morning, 3/9/2006. The display of portraits featured 111 Colorado women of accomplishment in the Hall of Fame. In ceremonies hosted by Marilyn VanDerBur Atler, former Miss America from Colorado, ten more Colorado women were be inducted into the Hall of Fame Thursday evening. They are: Stephanie Allen, businesswoman; Judy Collins, singer/political activist; Marion Downs, D.H.S., audiologist; Clarissa Pinkola Estes Ph.D., author and cantadora (Keeper of old stories in the Latin Tradition); Arlene Hirschfeld, philanthropist; Jean Jones, community leader; Susan Solomon Ph.D., research scientist; Vivien Spitz, court reporter; and historical women, Fannie Lorber, philanthropist; Caroline Spencer M.D., women's suffragist and community leader.
