(Original Caption) 1/28/1949-New York, New York- Kid Gavilan of Cuba explodes a hard right to the head of lightweight champion Ike Williams in the eighth round of their ten-round, non-title match at Madison Square Garden. Gavilan took the split decision. Acme photographer Dave Davis got the unusual effect by picking up another flash on the other side of the ring.
