Polish Girl Prisoner At Auschwitz
One of the prisoner identification photos of Czesława Kwoka (1928 - 1943), a Polish Catholic child inmate of the German Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau, Poland, during World War II. Kwoka died at the camp, aged 14, on 12th March 1943. The photo was taken in 1942 or 1943 by Polish portrait photographer and fellow prisoner, Wilhelm Brasse (1917 - 2012), who was ordered to document prisoners in the camp by its SS administrators.
