To the left is the Saaihal, as well as the adjacent plots, with an awning. The facades have a late medieval and renaissance character. In the middle a view to the Nieuwe Rijn and right to the Levendaal. There are trees along the waterfront. A church is visible both behind the Saaihal and above the Levendaal, which recalls the Hooglandse Kerk. A covered wagon and many figures in front of the Saaihal. On the left a rowing boat sails on the canal and in the foreground are an angler, a gentleman, a lady and a child, who, like the other figures, are dressed in costumes from around 1600.
