(Original Caption) Teammates show Bobby Grier, (C), what they think of Georgia Governor Marvin Griffin's threat to block Georgia Tech from playing in the Sugar Bowl on January 2nd, if the University of Pittsburgh's Negro player is part of the Panther team. Gathered around Grier from the left are: Bob Kiesel, end; Nick Carr, Guard; Jim McCuskar, tackle and Don Agafon, tackle. Two thousand Georgia Tech students staged a protest demonstration in which they twice burned the Governor in effigy. The case was scheduled to go before the Georgia State Board of Regents.
