Telegram of Mallory and Irvine's death, This is NortonÆs coded telegram which was sent from Base Camp at Rongbuk by runner to Phari Dzong from where it was relayed to London and arrived on 19th June 1924. It states, "Mallory Irvine Nove Remainder Alcedo", which translated as "Mallory and Irvine killed in last engagement, arrived here, all in good order", China (Tibet), 20th June 1924.
