(Original Caption) There was no place like home for Milwaukee's Joe Adcock (9) as he wore out the plate at Ebbets Field by blasting four home runs against the Dodgers July 31st. He shown here being greeted after his homer in the fourth inning (left), the seventh and the ninth (center). His last blast tied a mark held by six other players, including Brooklyn's Gil Hodges, the last man to perform this feat.
