The one-hundred bill is the highest face value of the Venezuelan currency that according to today's rate in the black market, the reference price for the great mayority of products and services in the country, is about one dollar. That little value of the currency along with an inflation rate for 2016 estimated around 700% and a contraction of the economy with a forecast of about -10% GDP for the year, both figures just released by the IMF, shows the deep economic problems that the Latin American oil producer country has at the moment. Average workers are gong through hard times when this chocolate bar at Bs. 1.800 represents 12% of the minimun legal wage.
