The Kalaywa Tawya Monastery is situated on Naga Hlainggu hill in Yangon. The monastery houses over a 1000 children and young adults training to be monks, studying Buddhist scripture as well as modern academic studies for an overall developement. Most of the children here are orhpans and are cared for completely by the monastery in terms of food, housing and studies.
