AT&T Long Distance Building - New York - stock photo
32 Avenue of the Americas in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan was designed by Ralph Walker of Voorhees, Gmelin and Walker. The building was completed in 1932 and designed for AT&T to specifically handle long distance calls. This was the last of several large art deco communications buildings designed by Ralph Walker, who was named Architect of the Century by the New York Times.
