Broadcaster David Frost dies aged 74: Sir Michael Parkinson interview; ENGLAND: Berkshire: EXT Sir Michael Parkinson (Broadcaster) interview SOT re reaction - I was having lunch with him next week - utterly shock and sorrow - was one of my best friends for 40 years - man I admire tremendously - can't think of anyone with his range - from entertainment to Nixon - David was an extraordinary man - as a friend he was a joy re you both dominated interviews - There might have been on my part - David was a very Christian man - all the time I've known him, never known him criticism a fellow performer - rarely swore - occasionally I let loose - I'd feel ashamed - like I was infront of my headmistress - just the way he lived his life - great family life - remarkably nice human being re Nixon interview envy - I was only envious of two - one with Noel Coward, who I'd always fancied talking to - Louis Armstrong - my great musical hero - I never got anywhere near - didn't play that game together - had too many funny things to talk about re what differed in style - he was a good listener - he was a wonderful listener - he did his homework - that's how innovative he was - leaves a big gap in TV and bigger gap in my life
