A Rally to Protect Chinatown and the Lower East Side from Gentrification was held today at 83-85 Bowery in New York City's Chinatown and Lower East Side area. The event, organized by Coalition to Protect Chinatown & LES, was an effort to help the residents of 83-85 Bowery in their fight to protect their homes from a landlord who has been using excuses to kick low-income renters out and build luxury high-rises.
