North Korean Lobby in Tokyo Criticizes Japan's Sanctions

TOKYO, JAPAN – FEB. 12: The North Korean lobby in Tokyo on February 12 strongly criticized Japan's list of sanctions on the communist country for successively testing a nuclear weapon and launching an apparent ballistic missile in the past few months. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's administration has drafted a wide-ranging package of sanctions against Pyongyang that include ban of reentry in to Japan on the staffs of the lobby, General Association of Korean Residents, or Chongryon. Chongryon's deputy head said in a press conference that the launch was "the right of a sovereign country based on international laws" and charged Tokyo's move as restricting and suppressing the North Korean residents in Japan.
